Verdict

WILLIAM HAIGH's progressive form on the all-weather over the winter came to an abrupt end at Kempton in March. However, he can race off a 14lb lower mark back on this surface and given Alan Swinbank's charge has only had three previous outings on Turf, he's potentially very well handicapped. Art Scholar won this off a lower mark last year but has a bit to find with the selection on earlier running while the prolific Polytrack winner, Franco Is My Name, took advantage of a lower Turf mark when scoring at Folkestone last time and is upped in class today. Amazing Blue Sky remains in good form though it was testing ground when he won at Haydock last month and recent Chester runner-up Kenyan Cat makes more appeal.
