John Gosden saddles the Dubawi colt Kalkrand here for Godolphin. All three of his dam's previous foals to race have won but he has a middle-distance pedigree so could find this an insufficient test of stamina. Gosden also introduces the US-bred ROYAL ARTILLERY, who runs in the Magnier colours. Frankie rides the latter and he may the one to be on given he should have the pace to cope.
