In depth

Verdict

Another competitive affair. Atlantic Crossing has won his last two races in the style of an improver. He is proven on the ground and won well at Haydock last time out, he will be hard to beat despite his double penalty. Supreme Hill rates the main danger he was a good second behind Far Horizon at Ascot last time out and the weight he gets from Atlantic Crossing could make all the difference. Petanque is from a top yard who showed enough ability in bumpers to suggest he would make his mark over hurdles and any market confidence could be significant. American President was second behind Always Rainbows last time out. The gelding is sure to improve for the step up in trip but this is a much more competitive race. Divine Mist is also from a top yard who showed plenty in bumpers and he is sure to have been well schooled. The market may prove the best guide as to what is expected. Kaolin De Perche is a well bred debutante but he will probably do better in time. Of the remainder See More Snow has shown a modicum of ability in similar races but he is more exposed than most.
