Verdict
The consistent pair of And Toto Too and Second To Go both have to be respected in a competitive finale but a chance is taken with B A Highflyer, who bounced back to form on the all-weather last time. Mick Channon's gelding has proved expensive to follow this term and has dropped in the weights after some disappointing performances. However, the stable's horses are hitting form again now and the son of Compton Place stepped up on previous efforts when a fast finishing second to Queen Of Night over six furlongs at Southwell. The longer trip should suit the three-year-old, who looks worth a small investment. And Toto Too was winning for the fifth time this term when landing a classified stakes race at Chepstow last month and, although running below that form in handicap-company subsequently, he is difficult to dismiss entirely. Second To Go has an obvious chance off just a 3lb higher mark than when scoring at Kempton in the summer and may have needed her latest start after a break. She rates the main danger. Caerphilly Gal has steadily risen in the weights after some respectable efforts but may be a shade high in the handicap now but, along with Logistical, has a bit to find with Second To Go on running at Goodwood last time. Ziet d'Alsace, with the ever impressive Lisa Jones in the plate, is another to consider but we are happy to give B A Highflyer another chance.
