        Verdict

        Portamento landed the odds as expected in soft going at Haydock last time but this a much tougher assignment. He may find GROWL too good as the latter beat better opposition than this when runner-up in the Mill Reef at Newbury last month and will handle any cut in the ground. Rosie's Premiere is next best on official ratings but her early success at Haydock came in a handicap while winning debutant Salt Island is unexposed and preferred to the remainder, who all have plenty to find on today's terms.
