In depth

Verdict

TARVINI has been on the go for a while but produced arguably his best effort of the year when just getting the better of course specialist Iris's Flyer over 3m2f at Huntingdon last month. He's 6lb higher here but Maurice Linehan again takes off 10lb and, as he likes fast ground, he's probably the one to beat. There must be a doubt about Musselburgh fourth Jewelled Dagger staying this far but Downward Spiral has plenty of stamina, though this will be his first run over hurdles for more than a year. Ben Cee Pee M is another trying 3m for the first time and disappointed at Carlisle last time, though still makes more appeal than Easby Park.
