Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Mangonel was engaged at Uttoxeter yesterday having won easily at Kempton on Monday and would have to carry an additional penalty here if successful at the Midlands track. We'll take on Jim Best's mare with THORESBY, who won't mind the ground and has shown more than enough to suggest he can take a race like this. He was probably flying too high at Ascot last time. Executive's Hall rattled up a hat-trick in the summer and may just have needed his latest outing at Southwell. He should also be thereabouts but Tower has had plenty of chances and the fitting of a visor looks something of a last resort.
