In depth

Verdict

Huzzah gets the nomination ahead of Resounding Glory and Kal Barg. The selection comes here on the back of a good third at Kempton over a mile and now drops back in trip. He is effective on any ground and whilst he continues to edge up the weights, this progressive son of Acclamation gets the vote. Resounding Glory comes here on the back of a win at Newcastle and Richard Fahey's colt should be feared, along with Kiwi Bay who travelled well before scooting clear last time out. Feisty Royale is a typical Mark Johnston battler, but at this moment in time it may be that six furlongs suits her best. Lodi needs to bounce back from an average run, whilst Kal Barg looks a major player. He wasn't beaten far behind the impressive Ibn Khaldun last time out and with that horse franking the form since, he must be afforded utmost respect. Upton Grey steps back up in trip and should go well, whilst Flowing Cape promises to improve for this, his handicap debut. An open race, with Huzzah taken to score.
