Verdict
LAKE LEGEND looks solid here which is more than can be said for the majority of his rivals. Cheekpieces may bring about some improvement from Fassaroe who looks best of the rest along with Border Reiver. Lake Legend returned a beaten favourite last time but the form looks better now in light of the subsequent exploits of the winner, Helpston. That run came on testing ground whereas his best form prior to that had been on a faster surface and he should prove hard to beat. Burnt Oak, Border Reiver and Fassaroe have all shown ability at various times in their career without convincing. Burnt Oak's previous hurdle runs at this track have been below par whilst Border Reiver was well beaten in a good race on bad ground at Haydock. Fassaroe has also run well in defeat in decent company and he could be the one for the forecast but he has a lot to do if he's to get the better of Lake Legend.
