In depth

Verdict

Better is expected from Magical Macey who clashed with Dispol Keasha and Ignatieff at Thirsk earlier in the month but preference is for the hat-trick seeking MURURA. James Given's runner does have something to prove, as well as being up in the weights, as this is his first start on turf but there's plenty to like about his performances on the all-weather and there's every reason to hope that he'll find these conditions just as conducive given that he's related to the yard's talented mare Morinqua. Dispol Keasha fared best of those who clashed at Thirsk and should be all the better for the run but she could struggle to confirm the placings with Magical Macey who wasn't far behind despite not really getting the run of the race. Ignatieff was well backed that day but didn't get his own way in front and weakened close home; he's entitled to improve for the outing as well. Dancing Freddy could struggle against less exposed runners this term whilst The Hermitage may be best watched after a modest return as we look to Murura for the winner.
