Verdict
Manu Et Corde, runner-up to Luxembourg in the Group 2 Beresford at the Curragh in September, has had two runs at Group 3 level this summer so the drop in grade will be welcome. Shajak came into his own when tackling this trip for the first time at Tipperary where he convincingly landed a maiden but he finished behind COUGAR when Aidan O'Brien's charge stayed on over 1m2f at Navan. The latter gets the nod as stable companion Shark Bay hasn't progressed from landing a Cork maiden in April while Enthrallment's lone success came on testing ground. Urban Oasis completed a hat-trick before finding a 12lb rise beyond him at Gowran though he didn't quite get the run of the race. Darraby gained a surprise-but-comfortable victory on handicap debut at Roscommon but is up 8lb.
