Verdict
Some very smart hunters have won this in the past and it should be the same here. NOBLE PRINCE, a genuine Grade 1 chaser in his day, beat the good yardstick Current Exchange easily at Punchestown in February before tackling the Foxhunter at Cheltenham where he was well beaten. However, he was only a length behind the winner of that race, On The Fringe, at Punchestown in May and will be better for his pipe-opener at Glenbane last month. He just gets the vote over Marito, runner-up to Hurricane Fly in the Morgiana Hurdle two years ago and unbeaten in three point-to-points. He was a long way in front of Abbey Lane at Kirkistown last time and it's a while since the latter showed any real sign of form but Not Before Eight finished a close third and he could snatch a place at a fair price.
