In depth

Verdict

Pats Choice was well supported at Fairyhouse in April but ran very green and will be a different proposition here. REALISTIC OPTIMISM was unfortunate not to finish closer at Fairyhouse as he was impeded at a crucial stage. He can get off the mark though Rhodia is an obvious threat after a promising start when runner-up here in October with the remainder well beaten. The Flier Begley couldn't get anywhere near the winner at Punchestown but Apollo Ten showed promise on the same track in May.
