Willie Mullins has won four of the last seven and PURPLE MOUNTAIN can continue the trend. She may have been a bit fortunate when left clear at the last in this grade at Tipperary though her rider felt he would have won anyway. Annie G was beaten almost nine lengths but didn't jump well and is better judged on her earlier Listed victory at Galway. Impervious beat subsequent winner Ballywilliam Boy at Listowel to remain unbeaten while Glan and Party Central are progressive types for Gordon Elliott, though both will need to improve again.
