    Verdict

QUILIXIOS, a winner on heavy ground in France in March, started odds-on for his debut for Gordon Elliott and beat previous winner Scholastic, who was receiving 12lb, in a canter. He could be a star in the juvenile ranks though faces a stable companion who had an equally impressive debut for the yard in Glorious Zoff, a 12-length winner at Sligo last week. Varna Gold would have been beaten by Scholastic but for falling at Punchestown then bounced back with an easy victory at Killarney. The remaining pair look up against it.
