Winning point-to-pointer BALLYADAM started long odds-on for his bumper debut at Navan but could only finish third in very testing ground. He made amends and showed his true worth with an 18-length victory at Downpatrick and looks a smart addition to the hurdling ranks. Colonel Mustard followed a very promising bumper debut at Killarney with an impressive victory at Punchestown and is another likely to make a decent hurdler while Hes A Hardy Bloke also scored easily in a Clonmel bumper, though that was on good ground. Still Standing, five-times a winner on the Flat and rated 96, got his act together on his third start over timber at Gowran when just failing to get past One Down so is greatly respected.
