Verdict
CHANGINGOFTHEGUARD couldn't quite hold off expensive stable companion River Thames over the trip at Punchestown but the winner has multiple classic entries so the form looks strong. Warren Beach was highly tried in his first campaign and wasn't beaten far in a Group 3 at Leopardstown in October. Artistic Choice cost 120,000gns as a yearling and had a very nice introduction on heavy ground at Naas in October. He's in the Irish Derby while Chicago Storm, a half-brother to six winners, makes a belated racecourse debut.
