In depth

Verdict

SO SENSIBLE progressed very well on Turf during the summer and gained a deserved victory at Galway in September. This is his first start on the surface but has the scope to go on to better things so gets the vote. Headlong never won for Brian Meehan but produced some good runs and has caught the eye in two starts for new connections. Trade Marked was beaten in a Fairyhouse claimer before running over hurdles last month so needs to find more but Nedera has been making steady progress and gained her maiden victory in a handicap here on Friday. She looks well treated under a penalty and should progress again and though Jackie Ellis has yet to win a race her recent runs over this track and trip have been her best and she can give a good account. It's rare to find a David Wachman runner at the bottom of a handicap and Right First has form that would make him a threat if near his best.
