Verdict

Royal Diplomat had My Silver Nails back in fourth and Pak Army well beaten in seventh when runner-up to Moonlight Bay in the opening race of the season on heavy going at Naas. The former, an expensive purchase, looked likely to win at the furlong pole but was undone by the going. Ger Lyons has his horses in cracking form and Ragtime Red is related to plenty of winners and out of a winning juvenile so should have the pace for this. SIRICI came here last week and ran a fine race behind Fille Du Septembre. She didn't have the best of the draw and is certain to have come on for the run so gets the nod though Joseph O'Brien has a couple of well-connected newcomers on show. Spirit Power is related to winners though will probably need further but Amenette looks the more likely of the pair being related to seven winners including a couple of smart two-year-olds. Lady Epaulette is out of a mare who won over 1m6f.
