Jim Bolger couldn't get a race out of Saafarr in his first campaign though he finished in a place in half of his ten starts. This will be his debut on the surface but he's a half-brother to an all-weather winner so should be suited. ZABALAN started out over 1m2f at the Curragh last May and attracted good support before finishing third behind The Major General, who followed up in Listed company. Dermot Weld's colt didn't get the best of runs and this should prove within his capabilities. Nivvo showed the benefit of her opening run when headed right on the line by Robe Of Honour last month and should make a bold bid to go one better.
