Despite being a close relative of the high-class Johannesburg, GRAND ADMIRAL is highly unlikely to be a stable star though he was having his first start since June when a decent third behind Hujaylea here a month ago and like most of his yard's runners this season will have come on for the run. Carefree Smile has produced two moderate efforts on the Polytrack and will need to do better but Livaleo won here in November and will have found a mile too short on his return at Gowran on Sunday. Baracas has run twice here and won both times, a bumper on his racecourse debut last February and a maiden in November. He ran well enough behind Sugar Baby Love on his reappearance at Leopardstown to suggest he can get competitive.
