Le Vagabond is a smart and consistent performer on the Flat and over timber who should give a good account, despite a big weight and an absence since September, especially as he's won on all kinds of ground. However, he's up against some in-form rivals here particularly Song Of Love and DUCHESSOFFLORENCE, who fought out the finish of a similar handicap last month with the former just prevailing. The runner-up was travelling easily when striking the front at the furlong pole but was worried out of it close home and Shane Foley may hang on to her a bit longer this time. Brokopondo is also in top form having beaten New Direction here last month and he's very closely matched with Song Of Love on earlier running, as is Political Policy though the latter is on a long losing run.
