Despite his rider claiming 7lb St Malo, a winner at Newcastle for Roger Varian, still has a huge weight to carry. Six Silver Lane has a tremendous record on the track and should be thereabouts again while Commander Won is just 2lb higher than his recent track and trip victory and has since run well at Leopardstown. TIME FOR MABEL has gradually dropped to a winnable mark and didn't get the run of the race here last time before staying on strongly. He's handed the vote in a wide-open handicap in which Adieux, who finished just in front of him last time, looks a threat as does Wrap Star, who is 0-26 but very nearly got off the mark over the course and distance the last time he ran here.
