Verdict
Eddie Lynam won this with a long odds-on chance a year ago but complicates matters here by saddling three of the four runners including two very useful performers. Akasaka is rated 99 after a fine victory in a handicap in January followed by decent efforts in better company. He has 4lbs in hand over stablemate MUCK 'N' BRASS but it's the latter who is handed the vote. He's been racing unsuccessfully in Dubai this winter but his close second to Paene Magnus in a Listed race over the course and distance in November under Johnny Murtagh may be just enough. Charpoy has never won on the surface and like Dimitar, the remaining Lynam entry, has a huge amount to find on official ratings.
