In depth

Verdict

Despite a big field, CASTLE GUEST will be a warm order after his demolition job at Clonmel in May. Mick Halford's charge made all for a very impressive success that day and though making his all-weather debut and raised 15lb he's impossible to oppose here. Cebuano also represents the County Kildare handler and he ran well behind Chicago at Cork last time but Dart Queen is still a maiden after 26 starts and is probably still a few pounds high. The fly in the ointment would be Xsquared if he gets a run from his first reserve spot as he took advantage of a drop in the ratings at Fairyhouse to gain a facile victory and has run well here in the past. Shabra Emperor is another long-time maiden with some decent form on the track and he's tried in blinkers for the first time.
