Several of these have won around here but El C Wells is the only one to have also scored over the distance though he's struggled from his raised mark subsequently. War Correspondent makes his debut on the track and has his first start in a handicap after an improved run over the trip at Fairyhouse but Crescent Lake has been in poor form over jumps since a close second here in March. Highland King looked a likely future winner over this trip when staying on at Leopardstown and suffered an injury at Down Royal next time but in a moderate race a chance is taken with SCENIC LOOK, from an in-form yard and guaranteed to stay the trip after a second place over 1m5f at Down Royal. Arctic Blaze would be up to this at her best and hails from an in-form yard.
