In depth

Verdict

The assessor has raised DAINTREE 6lb for her double here a month ago but she appeared to have enough in hand to overcome the extra. Dubirango had been gradually improving before scoring over the trip earlier this month where his rider defied a problem with the reins. He's up 3lb and Sean Bowen claims 3lb less this time but a big run is still expected. Mercurial scored at Chester for Tom Dascombe as a two-year-old and went well on Turf in the UK last summer while Patrick Street showed a bit more dash last month and makes his handicap debut. The remaining pair are making their debuts on the surface.
