In depth

Verdict

Count Of Carabass completed a track and trip double in good style last month but is now on his highest ever mark. Major Power was having only his fifth start on the track when making all for a hard-fought victory earlier this month, though a 7lb rise makes this more difficult. Lily Lily Rose gained her only course victory over a mile last month and disappointed when favourite on a return visit while Red Avenger may also find this on the short side nowadays. DARK MAGIC has just failed in his last two starts over a mile and the drop in trip could be to his liking. He's looking on a favourable mark these days and Colin Keane takes the ride again so he gets the nod. The three-year-old Dromod Lad ran easily his best race to date earlier this month and wouldn't need much more to get into the frame.
