In depth

Verdict

Joseph O'Brien has two of the five entries. THUNDER MOON has officially never run on an all-weather surface though finished first past in a barrier trial here in 2020. The Group 1 National Stakes winner that year, six of his subsequent seven starts have been at the highest level including when beaten a head in the Prix Jean Prat at Deauville and this is a massive drop in class. Stable companion San Andreas has won three times around here and has run well in strong handicap company on Turf but Pretreville, a multiple winner in France including at Group 3 level, showed little in two starts for new connections in October. Meishar has a fine record here but isn't suited by the race conditions and like stable companion Sister Lola has a lot to find on official ratings.
