Only 5lb separates top from bottom in this tight handicap with SKONTONOVSKI (NAP) having gone up 23lb for his three recent victories, two of them here. Swiss Army Officer has run well here in the past but keeps going up in the weights without winning, a remark that also applies to Brosna Empress. The latter was beaten less than two lengths behind the selection here and is 8lb better off. Resourceful Man won over 6f here and was staying on over that trip when a close fourth last time. He’s lightly-raced and should make a bold bid but is poorly drawn. Chavajod found an extended mile too far at Galway after scoring over this trip at Roscommon. The maiden Thunder Rain has been running well though makes his all-weather debut.
