In depth

Verdict

Capo La Gala and Dubirango have both had experience of barrier trials here with the latter coming out best. Montenegro is certain to improve from his run at the Curragh though an outside draw tempers enthusiasm. Swing Point was a 66/1 chance when an excellent fourth at Punchestown and normal progress will see him in the firing-line. Purple Dawn hasn’t done much wrong but looks vulnerable, as does All In The Mind, well beaten into second in a Thurles nursery. AFFOGATO made a very promising debut at the Curragh in the summer and has moved to Ger Lyons. He has the scope to go on to better things and gets the nod though Alaroos is another who made an encouraging debut on the same track in mid-summer.
