Gobi Star had several of these behind when a close third here a fortnight ago where he led a furlong out but was caught close home. He should make a bold bid with Jack Kearney's claim a major plus. Bucky Larson has been running well but was behind KNOCKMORE PRINCE when the latter was a fast-finishing third over a mile last time. Noel Meade's charge is best over that longer trip but Robert Whearty's claim is a bonus and he's weighted to finally get off the mark.
