In depth

Verdict

Fran Berry returns after a four-month absence through injury to ride Fairy Wing, who had a couple of lengths to spare over COOL ATHLETE and Rocky's Pride when making a winning reappearance over a mile here last month. Tonight's race conditions greatly favour the latter pair and both should be better suited by the shorter trip. David Marnane's six-year-old just gets the nod but it should be tight and Naoise can also enter the argument. Jim Bolger's charge has more scope than these rivals and it's no surprise to see him climb the ratings after a comfortable C&D victory over Curl Cat last week. Mamma Rosa has her first start on the surface and probably needs further.
