Karasi made such a good impression on his debut at the Curragh that he started a short-priced favourite at Killarney but didn't perform as well as expected. Pulse Of Shanghai was beaten less than 2l at the Curragh but could never get going on his next start at Killarney and finished last of five. Royal Court caught the eye at Gowran last month and started favourite for a maiden here earlier this month but couldn't concede 13lb to stable companion Vhagar. That was a good run and he should get into the action while Tallien returned from a long break to run well here in September and there should be more to come. VIVACIOUS SPIRIT has gradually improved and was only beaten a nose by the well supported Excelcius here last month with an odds-on chance back in third. Further progress can see Gordon Elliott's charge go one better.
