Although there are a coupe of potential improvers in opposition, GIN BLOSSOM's debut run at the Curragh when beaten a head in a huge field of maidens, would be good enough. Joseph O'Brien's filly started odds-on at Gowran next time but ran into Lemista, who came out at Naas on Monday and landed a Group 3. Both starts were on heavy going so her ability to handle this surface has to be taken on trust but her overall form is far superior to that of her rivals. Dark Pine, a half-brother to six winners including a Group 2, didn't live up to his pedigree last season but may do better this campaign. Ger Lyons has two entries and Colin Keane's presence on Early Bright suggests he could prove best of the pair and he showed some potential last autumn. War Flight missed the break before staying on nicely over 6f here last month so should improve enough to get competitive.
