Verdict

Skilled Warrior couldn't quite hold Jack Duggan at Tipperary in August with subsequent winner Brazil back in third and is better drawn than JO MARCH. However, Joseph O'Brien's beautifully-bred daughter of Zoffany really caught the eye on her debut on testing ground at Leopardstown in October and looks the type to go on to better things. Ger Lyons introduces Flyin Hawaiian, who has the inside berth and is bred for this trip while Stellar Spirit showed enough in his two starts here in December to be on the shortlist. The selection's stable companion Soonerthebetter was very green on his debut over a mile last month and is expected to do much better.
