Verdict
Everyhouronthehour has won three times around here though has never raced over a trip this far. Pineapple Express has changed stables BUT returned to action in top form having been narrowly beaten over 1m2f then just failing to concede the winner 9lb over this trip. Never Mistabeat had shown little before first-time blinkers had the desired effect last month when he gained a very easy victory over the extended 1m2f track. He's up 12lb though his rider's claim slightly reduces the extra and he can get into contention, though PORT LOCKROY looks the one to beat. The son of Australia has a stayer's pedigree so 7f on his reappearance would have been totally inadequate, which he demonstrated when stepped up to this trip last week when just failing to hold the in-form Chateau Musar. Nightly Wailing has been in good form but is better over further.
