BOYNE RIVER had a light juvenile campaign but showed potential, as she did when placed at Naas in May where she didn't get the run of the race. She hasn't run subsequently, which is a concern, but the half-sister to seven winners has more scope than these. Giuliana is race-fit and an obvious threat after her second place on her track debut last month. She looks the one to take advantage if the selection isn't ready after a long break. Royal Tribute didn't show much for Richard Hannon but she's done well for Denis Hogan who looks certain to find a race for her soon. Pocket Veto has improved with each run and made most before headed just over a furlong out last time - further progress can see her in the firing-line.
