Four-times track winner San Andreas is 3lb higher than when last successful here in March but has been racing in much stronger company. His stable also run HYPERNOVA (NAP), who had subsequent dual winner Mickey The Steel almost two lengths behind at Fairyhouse in July and is better off at the weights. He hasn't won in seven starts here but has been placed five times and could still be improving. Rough Diamond wasn't beaten far in his only start here and has since won at Navan and finished a close third to the prolific Earls at Naas. Ampeson completed a mid-summer double and didn't get the run of the race when placed over 7f here three weeks ago,
