        Verdict

        Ferrybank has improved with every run and gained a deserved victory three weeks ago when making all over 6f in a maiden. He has a bit more to do on his handicap debut while THE HIGHWAY RAT got a clear run up the rails in a rough race earlier this month. The latter gets the nod with improvement expected and the third, trained by Joseph O'Brien, has won subsequently. The latter yard run Hala Joud here and she's run well enough the last twice to get into contention though she's held by Red Contender on her last run and by Ferrybank on an earlier effort.
