Verdict

Seven of this field are multiple course and distance winners with War Hero two behind Geological with six victories. The former just beat stable companion Eglish over 6f last week but the runner-up was returning to form and may get the better of the argument. Whatharm has been in top form winning three of his last four but was less than a length in front of FRIDTJOF NANSEN (NAP) in November and the latter is a massive 17lb better off so Kieran Cotter's six-year-old looks the one to beat. Major Power won four times over the track and trip last winter including a hat-trick. His winning run came to an end when tackling 6f though he's generally needed his opening run.
