Verdict

Alfredo Arcano and Geological have both won eight times around here and the latter took this a year ago with his rival, who is better off at the weights, back in fourth. He also holds Arcanears on a later run while Colin Keane as been on board Breakfast Club the last twice, scoring on him at Cork before a decent effort in a much better race at the Curragh. However, the winner that day was the remarkable A STEP TOO FAR, who was landing her sixth successive handicap, moving from a mark of 50 to 91 in the process. She had seven all-weather runs in her earlier days without winning but she's made such massive progress those statistics appear irrelevant and victory number seven looks on the cards. The main threat looks to be Big Gossey, a winner here in December and at the Curragh in June and not beaten far in a Group 3 on the track two weeks ago.
