Gatewood was put up 5lb after winning a competitive handicap at York last month but that wasn't excessive and John Gosden's lightly-raced colt has every chance of following up here. The ground may be a bit lively for Stand To Reason but he's a pound better off than when beaten a short-head by RESURGE at Chester just over three weeks ago. Stuart Kittow's seven-year-old is something of a standing dish around here, however, having already won three times over C&D including this race 12 months ago off a 2lb higher mark. He'll be tough to beat again as he has the beating of recent Windsor winner Ramona Chase on last year's form. Black Spirit drops into handicap company for the first time in two years but is hard to win with and Cry Fury, Pivotman and Pekan Star are making their seasonal reappearance. Creme Anglaise has each-way claims again, however, and Rumh's last three runs came in Group 1s, though she was well beaten.
