    Verdict

WOOLSTON FERRY has yet to win on Turf but showed improved form on his first start for Henry Candy at Lingfield last month, quickening away from an in-form rival. He can race off a 4lb lower mark here and it would be no surprise if he finally put to rest the theory that he can only act on an artificial surface. Sir George is better than he showed in a Southwell claimer last time and could figure but Elijah Pepper has become expensive to follow and C&D winner Wiseman's Diamond was beaten a long way at Thirsk next time.
