    Verdict

Caribbean Pearl would not need to be out of the ordinary to make a winning debut but the lack of a previous start for Clive Brittain's daughter of Silver Hawk has to be of concern and a safer but look to be Lilac Mist, who is preferred to Rock Chick. The selection has run to a consistent level of form but tackles a softer surface than of late today and that should suit the daughter of Spectrum, who is taken to gain an overdue success. The Willie Jarvis-trained Let Slip has ability but meets Lilac Mist on 12lb worse terms than if this was a handicap. David Loder's Vanish would need to improve markedly on her debut form and a bigger threat is likely to come from John Gosden's Rock Chick, who should appreciate the return to this trip having been outpaced over a mile last time. Lilac Mist holds solid claims on form though and she gets the vote.
