The softer ground is expected to help Cantabria get back on the right track. Damelza and stablemates Persian Express and Marie are expected to provide the main body of opposition to Sir Michael Stoute's charge. Marie acted well with some give underfoot at Haydock last month and shapes as if she can find a race somewhere along the line. She is on a very fair mark and is one to bear in mind for future reference. The same has to be said of Persian Express, who appreciated the drop back to this trip when winning at Brighton 11 days ago. However, she would not want too much rain and the ground may be her undoing. Zambach is another to bear in mind, as she looked ready for a crack at seven furlongs when she got going near the finish on her latest start. She does need to have sharpened up his act from the stalls though and now has a little to prove. Damelza is a strong looking filly that has useful form to her name. She has already boosted her paddocks value with a couple of decisive victories and she is likely to be there to pounce if there are any chicks in the selection's armour. However, Cantabria is much better than she showed on fast round at Salisbury at the start of last month and, that run aside, she comes here as a filly capable of delivering at this level. Especially now that the ground is turning in her favour.
