In depth

Verdict

Sadeek can foil the hat-trick bid of Mubaashir, with Always Fruitful and Going Straight best of the rest. Kevin Ryan's juveniles are really starting to hit top gear now, and with that in mind we shall rely on Sadeek to follow up his York debut success over Abraham Lincoln. The son of Kyllachy showed plenty of speed as the pair pulled nine lengths clear of the remainder, and as he is rated Royal Ascot material by connections, he is taken to emphasise that fact here with ground conditions still in his favour. Mubaashir has done nothing wrong yet but the feeling is that that he will do well to give 5lb to the selection judged on his defeat of Cav Okay at Chester last time. Always Fruitful deserves his place in the line-up but is another with a bit to do along with Going Straight who is on the upgrade but still out of his depth. All in all, we expect Sadeek to fully justify his growing reputation before lining up in the Coventry Stakes.
