In depth

Verdict

Although there is a large field here, it does not look the most competitive of races, and the in form Mostarsil is fancied to land another victory, with Duc's Dream and Fifth Edition the main dangers. Fifth Edition made a winning reappearance when getting up close home to land an apprentice handicap at Leicester last time. This race is no better and she should go close off just a four pound higher mark. Duc's Dream was second behind the smart Inglis Drever at Southwell recently and he is still reasonably handicapped on turf so it would be no surprise to see him go close here and at least reach the frame. However, it is difficult to see beyond Gary Moore's Mostarsil, who beat Major Attraction by a head at Yarmouth recently and reopposes on the same terms here. He followed that up with a fair second in an amateurs race at Salisbury, and with Ryan Moore back in the plate he looks the one to be on here.
