        Verdict

        If SWISS CROSS turns up in the same kind of form as when runner-up to Ashpan Sam here on Derby Day there can only be one winner. He'd dropped to a very fair mark that day and has only been raised 1lb and this looks his for the taking. Chilworth Icon hasn't won since landing a Group 3 in Italy two years ago and has been racing over an extra furlong while Muir Lodge doesn't appear to have improved on his juvenile form. Dominate landed a handicap on soft ground at Windsor last April but hasn't scored since and is still 5lb higher.
