Verdict
Only a small field for the opener and NORTH CAPE is our idea of the most likely winner with Maybe I Wont and Iceman George as the alternatives. The selection has been a tad disappointing of late but seems to travel well and with the likelihood of there not being a strong pace - we are confident that this step back up in trip should not be a worry. Maybe I Wont has a light racing weight. Placed off a 4lb higher mark at Pontefract earlier in the season, it would be no surprise to see him go close. Iceman George has been a credit to connections and is sure to run his race. The Hague has been beaten off similar marks whilst the front running, Laish Ya Hajar was unable to follow up a Chepstow success. North Cape has questions to answer but should be a decent price as a consequence.
